Canine Couture! October 17, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — Kristen @ 7:27 am

I whipped up these oh so adorable little jackets tonight as the air is getting chillier by the day!

I just love how these turned out – sweet, simple and sophisticated! I would wear a human jacket like either of these. *sigh* you know you are a true dog lover, when they have a better wardrobe than you do! 🙂

Here are some pictures!

Both jackets have a warm, thick strap that goes under the tummy protecting my little girls from the chilly weather, but still letting them play in comfort =).

These will be listed in my etsy shop within the next day or so for custom orders — enjoy!

Little Miss Emma! Doesn’t she look stylish? :-p

*I so got her out of bed to snap this shot and make sure the fit was right, she forgave me after a belly rub and a yogurt drop, hehe*

New Bag! July 22, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — Kristen @ 12:22 pm

I have really wanted to explore the world of bag making and finally took a dive in with this cute and easy to follow tutorial — http://tinyhappy.typepad.com/tiny_happy/2006/06/shoulder_bag_tu.html by Tiny Happy.

Her blog is fabulous and this bag tutorial was no exception! I completed the entire thing in about an hour and was soooo loving the final result!

I plan to make a few changes to the pattern next time around and change the shape and strap drop a bit so be on the lookout for that one!

Here are pictures of the bag I made using a gorgeous Amy Butler print! I kept the lining a solid white, because that’s what I had on hand at the time and The pattern on the outside was so bold, I didn’t want the lining to detract from that.

Enjoy the picture!

New Desk, Craft Studio July 9, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — Kristen @ 8:13 am

I’m still trying to get this studio in working order, but wanted to post a picture of the steal of a desk I got at WalMart today! It was 15.00 down from 100.00, it wobbles when I type, but I’m trying to deal 🙂

Here’s a pic of the new desk!

More changes coming soon 🙂

My Craft Studio July 8, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — Kristen @ 5:48 am

This is a work in progress, but I wanted to share pictures of my craft studio!

I still want to add curtains, a rug and a comfy chair — along with some shelving above on the walls for additional storage.

If you have pictures of your craft room, please share! I love seeing what everyone else does with their space!

Oh Joy, A Blog!

Filed under: Uncategorized — Kristen @ 4:11 am

Oh joy, a blog! After perusing some of my favorite fellow crafty girl’s blogs this weekend I was inspired to make my own!

So, let me introduce myself! I’m Kristen and I’m a 24 year old stay at home wife or to pen the much overused phrase “domestic goddess”. In my spare time, which I seem to have a lot of these days, I’ve found myself in my craft studio getting in touch with my creative side!

I’m a self taught seamstress and am still very much the beginner besides the few things I’ve mastered.

I design and sew couture dog dresses and harnesses which is my true love, but I am looking to start some new projects as well, so I figure what better way to meet other fellow crafties than by blogging all about my adventures?!

I hope to post some of the projects I’ve been working on soon, but hate blog posts without pictures, so I had to insert one of my new, favorite pictures I took recently on a trip to the Butterfly Conservatory in Niagara Falls, Canada!

I believe it’s an onion flower?

Here’s to the start of a fun, blogging experience! 🙂
